Families looking for a fun, outdoor adventure this summer can explore the natural beauty of Grimsthorpe with a brand-new Summer Nature Trail, now running until the end of the season.

Designed especially for primary school-aged children, the self-guided trail takes young explorers on a journey around the beautiful Park, Gardens and Adventure Playground, encouraging them to discover the amazing wildlife and plants that call Grimsthorpe home.

With nine exciting stops along the way, children will be challenged to spot insects, birds, animals and plants while learning more about the natural world around them. The trail can be completed at each family's own pace, making it an ideal activity for a relaxed day out during the school holidays.

As an extra reward for their detective work, every child who completes the trail will receive a small token to take home.

One of the trail's most unusual activities encourages visitors to hug a tree!
