We all need more family time so get the kids off the computers and sign up for the Anna’s Hope Fun Run!
ESP’s Darren Grigas is among the first to sign up his family for this fun event and we want to see even more Peterborough families playing their part and helping raise cash for Stamford based charity Anna’s Hope.
Carole Hughes, founder of local children’s charity Anna’s Hope is calling for families to run or walk and have fun together in the Anna’s Hope 5k Fun Run in the Perkins Great Eastern Run this year on Sunday October 11 in Peterborough.
Carole says – “Anna’s Hope has been involved with the Fun Run for the last 8 years and it is wonderful to see families getting fit together and having a real sense of achievement at the finishing line with big smiles all round. It is a great time together away from the TV, it is not hard to complete and everyone comes home with medals around their necks.”
Anna’s Hope has been chosen as the official charity of the Fun Run and every year thousands of people take part in both parts of the Perkins Great Eastern Run – amateurs and elite runners – many fundraising for various charities.
Carole adds – “We are really grateful to those who have also raised funds for Anna’s Hope by getting sponsored. Every penny raised goes to supporting the charity’s aims and we are now making a real difference to local children diagnosed with a brain tumour through the Anna’s Hope Therapy, which supports a pioneering neuro-rehabilitation service called Brainbow. So if you are up for a family challenge why not enter the Anna’s Hope Fun.
“You could even dress up as a fairy like me and join the other Fairy Fun Runners! We look forward to seeing you all at the starting line and don’t forget to come for a photograph and to show us your medals at the Anna’s Hope stand at the finish.”
