GAME ON! UNOFFICIAL MINECRAFT CONVENTION ON ITS WAY TO PETERBOROUGH

A Mum from Kent has had great success with her convention in Southern Ireland after selling out 9 events and is now bringing the event to Peterborough!

Not only bringing the fans of Minecraft a great family day out she is bringing the Guinness World Records with her to attempt a live Guinness World Records attempt ‘The Most People Dressed as Steve from Minecraft’.

Organiser Lisa O Brien said: “We are really excited about bringing what has already established itself as a hugely popular event to Peterborough.

“We chose Peterborough Arena because of its great location in the UK, with excellent motorway and rail links so people can travel easily from all over the country. We were looking for a large venue, and Peterborough Arena fits the bill perfectly.”

Peterborough Arena head of sales Charlie Lewis added: “This is a real coup for us particularly as the gaming industry has such a huge following, and we are delighted that organisers have recognised the potential of this venue to host such an event.”

The event, on Saturday September 12, will be aimed at families with children – with a range of hands-on attractions including:

– The chance to ‘meet and greet’ famous Minecraft players

– A fan Question and Answer session with their YouTube heroes and the chance to get

photos and autographs.

– The opportunity to take part in a gaming tournament with the help of Multiplay.

– Presentation seminars

– Opportunity to buy merchandise

– Attempts to break an existing Guinness World Record Title!

General admission is £15 (free for Under 3s). Tickets from www.MineVention.com
