Showcase Peterborough will present a special screening of Disney’s much anticipated summer release Planes on Sunday August 11 at 10am in order to raise money for the children’s charity, Dreamflight.
Tickets for the screening cost just £5 and all proceeds will be presented to Dreamflight, the UK charity that changes the lives of seriously ill and disabled children every year by taking them on the holiday of a lifetime to Orlando in Florida.
Disney’s action-packed 3D animated adventure Planes tells the story of Dusty (voiced by Dane Cook), a plane with a fear of heights who has dreams of being a high-flying air racer. Determined to succeed, Dusty teams up with a seasoned aviator to overcome his fear and qualify to take on the defending champ of the circuit.
An inspirational tale of courage, Planes is the perfect choice for this exclusive charity screening in support of Dreamflight. Each year, the charity takes 192 deserving children from all over the UK, accompanied by a team of medical carers, on board a chartered Boeing 747 for 10 magical days of fun and excitement in Florida.
Many children could not undertake such a trip without the support of the army of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and non-medical volunteers who care for the children 24 hours a day.
