The date’s now been confirmed for this year’s Christmas lights switch on in Peterborough city centre as Saturday November 16 and ESP will be joining in the fun!
Kev & Ros from Heart FM breakfast will be keeping you entertained with a fantastic stage show between 2pm and 7pm backed by the fabulous ESP Dance Crew!
There’ll be music from local bands and solo artists and plenty of on-stage fun and games before the lights are switched on around 6pm.
The great line-up of entertainment also includes the Peterborough Rock Choir, school performances, plenty of music and some fun and games with the Heart team.
The stage will be set for a fantastic start to the city’s festivities with the Christmas tree going up on November 12 which should definitely start to get you in the mood for the arrival of the big guy in red!
Holidays are definitely coming as the famous Coca-Cola truck pulls up outside the Town Hall on December 14 and there’ll also be carol singing that day by St Peter’s Church in Yaxley at the Guild Hall.
There’ll be more carol singing by the Christmas tree on Cathedral Square on December 21 and chestnuts roasting on an open fire as the chestnut seller pitches up with a true taste of Christmas. As if the kids won’t be excited enough there’ll also be a big wheel on weekends in December.
We’ll bring you all the news as we get it and look out for the ESP team on the day of the lights switch on as our photographers and reporters will be there to cover the event.
