For the first time you can enjoy your favourite Christmas movies in a spectacular Cathedral setting!
Princesses, snowmen, a giant elf and a bunch of Muppets are all heading to the Cathedral in early December when, for the first time, audiences are invited to enjoy classic Christmas movies in the beautiful setting of the Cathedral nave.
There’ll be a festive atmosphere with popcorn, sweets and drinks on sale and dressing as your favourite character from these movies, or wearing your Christmas jumper, is positively encouraged!
On Friday December 2 the films will be The Muppet Christmas Carol, with Michael Caine as Scrooge, Kermit the Frog as Bob Cratchit and Miss Piggy as Mrs Cratchit.
This is followed by Elf, in which Will Ferrell plays Buddy, the man raised by elves at the North Pole who sets off for New York City in search of his real father.

On Saturday December 3 the programme will be The Snowman, based on Raymond Briggs’ heart-warming book about the snowman who comes to life, followed by Disney’s fantastically popular animation, Frozen.
This time Frozen fans can let their imagination soar as they enjoy the familiar characters and songs within the Cathedral’s castle-like interior.
The doors open at 6.30pm on Friday December 2 for a 7pm start, whilst on Saturday the doors open at 4.30pm for a 5pm start.
Tickets are from £6 for adults, £4 for children and £18 for a family.
They are available online via the Cathedral’s page at Oundle Box Office, or on 01832 274734, or Peterborough Information Centre on 01733 452336.
Any proceeds from the Christmas Movie Nights go towards the upkeep of Peterborough Cathedral.
