THE GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF MUSICAL

Get ready, set – BAKE! The Great British Bake Off Musical will raise the roof as well as the Victoria sponge in this great new production.

Westwood Musical Society have been entertaining us since 1930 and the latest talented team continue to bring us amazing quality performances that are always well put together and highly entertaining.

Now they’re ready to cook up a storm with their production of The Great British Bake Off Musical at Stamford Corn Exchange Theatre running from April 28 – May 3.

Based on the beloved TV programme The Great British Bake Off, the musical follows a group of amateur bakers competing in a joyful and heartfelt baking competition. This brilliant feel-good show will bring you all the drama and laughs from the tent and whether you’re a diehard Bake Off fan or just want a fun evening it will certainly put the cherry on top of a fabulous night out.

Meet a group of hopeful bakers as they face signature bakes, nail-biting technicals, and dazzling showstoppers, all while navigating nerves, new friendships, and the pressure of the clock. Watched closely by familiar-style judges and presenters, their journey is filled with triumphs and disasters. With an original score that captures every whisk, wobble, and winning bake, this musical is an immersive treat from start to finish.

Is there something more in the dough?  Will there be any soggy bottoms? Will friendships (or more) be formed over flour dusted worktops?

This is your chance to find out and to see this hilarious hit show performed on the local stage.

Simon Knighton, Chairman, Westwood Musical Society Peterborough told ESP – “The show itself is really good and much like the TV show, funny, sad, tears and laughter with great catchy songs throughout!

“It's never been performed in the Stamford, Peterborough and surrounding areas and we are delighted to bring this much loved TV show to life on the stage. It’s full of everything you could ask for from a musical – catchy songs, comedy characters, highs and lows and even a sprinkle of love! It really is a must see. We are also delighted to be performing with a live band for all performances.”

Our amateur groups like this one are precious and need our support so if you like the theatre buy a ticket and help keep them thriving.

Book now and see if love makes the final mix – because this show isn’t just about baking!
