From Thursday the 19th to Sunday the 22nd of September Charters Bar located on the River Nene next to Tower Bridge will be throwing a very special beer festival in celebration of their 22nd Anniversary!
The festival will showcase over 40 Real Ales and 10+ Real Ciders which have been carefully selected from producers all around the British Isles with something for every palette! Of course no festival is complete without some entertainment and Charters will be supplying it by the barrel full!
Thursday night is quiz night with drinkable prizes up for grabs! The quiz is free to enter and starts at 8pm with teams of up to six members welcome to join in the festivities and have a go at being crowned the quiz champions!
Live music will also be in abundance across the festival starting on Friday evening when Children of the Revolution take to the stage performing from 10:30pm. Saturday Evening its the turn of Shake Hands Eric to plug in and play and on Sunday Liz ‘n’ Joe take the stage for an afternoon set starting at 3:30pm.
The big local footballing derby Peterborough Vs MK Dons coincides with the festival on Saturday 21st September and home and away fans of football and real ale are made equally welcome!
Entry to the family friendly festival throughout the weekend is free and Charters look forward to extending a very warm welcome to one and all. Look out for the data capture leaflet give away for your chance to win one of twenty 4 pint carry outs.
Staff will be serving a choice selection of real ales from both inside the barge and also a special festival bar in their garden marquee. It all begins at 5pm on Thursday September 19, don’t miss out!
