Charters Bar in Peterborough has been transformed into a Winter Wonderland and will be staging its first ever Christmas Market as part of its festivities.
The owners of the popular bar on a boat at the Town Bridge have been redeveloping its extensive beer garden over the summer into an even larger capacity area with a new stage, new bar, new VIP area and more seating.
The area is now adorned with decorations, lights and Christmas trees and several festive events are planned.
Things kick off on Thursday December 16 with a Christmas themed Quiz from 8pm with a £20 bar voucher and a box of chocolates up for grabs for the winning team!
On Friday December 17 popular Peterborough DJ Eddie Nash will be playing Jazz Funk, Rare Groove, 80s, 90s, RnB and Hip Hop from 9.30pm onwards and it’s free entry.
On Saturday December 18 Charters is holding its first ever Christmas Market from 12pm till 8pm! There will be a variety of stalls outside in the garden under the marquee along with fancy hot chocolate and mulled wine and cider.
Meanwhile inside, Dan Poole will be performing acoustic versions of festive songs from 3-6pm to get everyone warm and cosy. The music continues in the evening from 10pm with Another Girl Another Planet , playing ska, new wave, punk and more.
The Christmas Market continues for its second day on Sunday December 19 from 12 - 8pm and Pembroke Tenneson will be performing inside from 3-6pm.
Throughout the weekend there will be games for children, a colouring station and a hunt to find hidden figures/toys with prizes of sweets for those who find them all.
