CHARITY SOUL NIGHT OUT RETURNS

After the huge success of the last two years’ events, 8-piece soul band, Motor City Vipers, are once again hosting their annual charity soul night out at The Brewery Tap on Saturday March 29th, in association with Randall Rootz Community Music, to help raise funds and awareness for Sue Ryder Care at Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough.

Made up from a group of dedicated and professional musicians, Motor City Vipers were formed in the spring of 2009 and have gained themselves a reputation as one of the city’s most exciting party bands – playing on the same bill as Geno Washington and Kiki Dee over the last year alone and helping to keep alive some of the greatest soul music from the 60s and 70s – with hits from the Motown, Stax and Atlantic labels!

The Vipers’ set list is like a who’s who of classic Motown and Northern Soul floor-fillers, from The Temptations, Wilson Pickett and Dobie Gray, to The Supremes, Jackie Wilson and Otis Reading.

The event also includes support from top soul DJs and Brewery Tap regulars, Julz and Uncle Funk, mixing the tunes into the early hours.

The night is being organised as a fundraiser for Sue Ryder Care at Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough, with tickets priced at £10 each and available from band members, DJs, or by credit/debit card from the Brewery Tap on 01733 358500.
