Expect 18 bands in one massive live charity music night at North Street Bar and Courtyard Room…
Congratulations to David Pleasance and Gordon Leed of Musos4U who’ve collaborated to release a CD album of (mainly) acoustic talent from this area.
It’s aimed at providing important funds for the Peterborough based children’s charity Little Miracles, which has their headquarters based here and which was featured on the Nick Knowles DIY SOS TV program. Little Miracles is a parent led support group and charity for families with children that have additional needs, disabilities and life limiting conditions. They run daily sessions giving social and play opportunities for the whole family.
The album’s entitled ‘Hearts in Harmony’ and features tracks from a whole host of bands and well known solo artists from the local area. The line-up includes – Shane Poole, Chris Sampson, Alice Macy, Ria Woods, Harry Seaton, Movements, Lesley Curtis & Band, Misty Jones, Thornton (Quest), Jessie’s Ghost, Lexie Green (pictured above), My Cocoon, The Deltaphonics, Flashback Photograph, Soloman Smith, Hand Drawn By Crayon and Isiah. All of these artists have each donated a song on the album, and will be attending the official CD launch night at The North Street Bar on Thursday May 22, and as there are so many artists expected to perform, the organisers have taken over the whole place, two floors, with a stage on each floor, and will have rotating acts. Furthermore the ground floor of North Street Bar is wheelchair friendly, and there’s a small courtyard, which will be utilised for all the Little Miracles families who attend. If like Davis and Gordon, you’re a fan of local music, it sounds like a brilliant opportunity to see so many acts assembled and performing in one place on the same night. And to remember the night, get a copy of the album ‘Hearts in Harmony’. Remember this will benefit a really great local charity so everyone’s a winner!
Tickets are available on the door – £8 for a single ticket including CD – or from Peterborough Music Shop.
