Bobby Davro will be appearing at the Peterborough Marriott event on Saturday March 15 to help raise funds for the children’s charity, Action Medical Research.
Bobby’s appearance will be part of the ‘A Touch of Magic’ fundraising evening, organised by the Peterbourgh Committee for Action Medical Research and supported by Quai Administration Services.
On arrival, guests can peruse a silent auction, supported by Fun Raising Events Ltd, before enjoying a three-course dinner. The cabaret act for the evening is Paul Martin (pictured left), the only magician in the UK to have performed twice for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
This will be followed by a performance from the one and only, actor and comedian, Bobby Davro. There will also be music from a live band, The Shamlas, until 1am.
Angela Hyde, Chairperson for Peterborough Committee of Action Medical Research, told ESP – “The Peterborough Committee are organising this event as a tribute to the late Richard Scoble who helped and supported the committee with their first ever event, over 18 years ago. He continued to support the charity with every event since. We hope to make this a spectacular evening for everyone to remember and bring about that touch of magic Richard gave us, helping us to raise over £321,000 for Action Medical Research.”
The event will be raising money to help fund medical research into conditions affecting babies and children. Action Medical Research has been funding medical breakthroughs since it began in 1952. The charity is currently supporting work around Down syndrome, epilepsy, sickle cell disease, and diabetes, as well as some rare and distressing conditions that severely affect children.
Tickets cost £49 per person and include a complimentary glass of wine on arrival. Tickets must be booked in advance either by telephone 01733 244 273 or online on www.amr-peterborough.co.uk.
