Hundreds of distinctive pink balloons are set to be launched skywards marking the start of the Thorpe Hall Hospice balloon race.
The balloons have been on sale in Sue Ryder shops across Peterborough for the last three weeks.
At 3pm on Friday April 26, hundreds, complete with tags, will be unleashed outside the charity’s shop on Crowland Road, Eye.
The tag returned from the furthest geographical point, measured from Thorpe Hall in Peterborough, by the end of May will be declared the winner. Its owner will receive a hamper of goodies.
All the cash raised from the sale of balloons will go straight into the £6 million appeal to fund the building of a new hospice to serve the people of the region which ESP Magazine is supporting.
To find out more, or to secure your balloon’s place at the start, pop into your nearest Sue Ryder shop.
Thorpe Hall Hospice provides incredible care to people with incurable illnesses, and their families, from across Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.
