Former Wet Wet Wet singer and musical theatre star Marti Pellow is to launch his new tour in Peterborough

The star has a new acclaimed album Stargazer out now and has just announced a new single release – Black Horse.

He’s launched a full UK tour starting in November 2021 and his first date will be at the New Theatre in Peterborough on Broadway.

Marti Pellow says the tour follows calls from fans – “My fans spoke and I listened – this greatest hits tour is about finally being able to come together to celebrate love, life, and remember those we may have lost along the way.

"Most of all, it’s about enjoyment and celebrating the here and now.”

Fresh from the success of the release of his 12th studio album Stargazer in March, Marti Pellow is releasing a second single Black Horse – edited from the original album version described by the Daily Star as ‘an 11 minute dancefloor epic worthy of Lady Gaga’ – on BMG on May 28.

The album is a change of style for the performer and has had some great reviews with The Daily Express describing it as – ‘A totally different sound – it’s a rock album influenced by David Bowie and 70s disco’.

Marti will head out on his Greatest Hits tour in November 2021, starting in Peterborough on November 17 and closing in London on November 30, so we get to see him here first!

Deciding to head out on tour this year, Marti explains “Throughout lockdown I was inundated by messages from fans asking me to organise a tour once we come out of these terrible times. 12 million people tuned in for the lockdown sessions and I covered songs that were either fan requests or personal favourites.

“I’m now looking forward to including some of them in the shows, alongside tracks from my new album Stargazer. I finally got to write the songs that let me pay homage to all my heroes and I can’t wait to perform them live for the first time. Get your dancing shoes on – it’s time to party with Marti!”
