Voodoo Lounge Celebrates 10 Years With a Punk Party

Saturday October 27 is a special day – it sees Stamford’s premier independent music venue, Mama Liz’s Voodoo Lounge reach its 10th year putting on live music and comedy shows.
To celebrate this milestone, Peterborough’s own DIY music promotion collective, The Scary Clown Presents… is putting on one of their popular DIY Punk Half Dayers – a mix of live music in the evening and a more chilled afternoon session in the bar and beer garden, with food supplied by the very popular Resist! Vegan Kitchen.
Evening session line up (first band 5.15pm)
THE CAPITALIST KIDS – Coming all the way from the USA, a tight punk power pop from Austin Texas. MATILDAS SCOUNDRELS – a folk party punk band from Hastings – one of the best bands on the DIY scene. PIZZA TRAMP – the boys from Wales are coming back – and we know you love these three silly chaps – loud, rowdy, and always entertaining. AERIAL SALAD – Welcome and overdue return for the Manchester trio who’ve been touring like loonies since their last visit! BRASSICK – Hi Energy Punk hardcore with rocking licks from the West Midlands making their Stamford debut! JOHNNY UTAH – Paying tribute to a time where music was valid, urgent, fun, and vital. Johnny Utah provides you with punk rock anthems of the 80’s and early 90’s. South Holland Indency Team – brutal 4 chord punk rock reminiscent of Mower era Chaos UK.
