Iconic massively multiplayer online first-person shooter Destiny 2 shines bright with its most grandiose expansion yet – by taking the franchise to the outer reaches of the solar system and beyond.
This time your Guardian encounters the malevolent forces of the Shadow Legion within the secret hidden city of Neomuna, on the surface of the eighth planet Neptune – an awe-inspiring new location for the series – which can also be played in Legendary Campaign mode.
But while this new Neo Tokyo-inspired locale adds an impressively ‘fresh’ territory to explore – it’s the inventive Darkness-powered sub-class Strand that is the stand-out addition. This is incredible fun.
You try to prevent the apocalypse by battling the otherworldly super-being the Witness and its power-hungry exiled Cabal disciple Calus - running parallel to the Season of Defiance, fledgling Terminal Overload activity, and new raid Root of Nightmares, which has just launched.
Alongside exciting weapon ‘loadout’ and mod customisations, this arguably feels like the most in-depth expansion ever – and you can even return to the fan favourite Farm destination.
