Your help is needed to support the city’s environmental charity PECT secure vital funding for Peterborough projects.

PECT (Peterborough Environment City Trust) is relying on public votes to increase its chances of winning funding of up to £25,000 as part of the Aviva Community Fund 2017. Only projects with the most votes will become finalists, so your support is vital. Local residents can vote for two proposed PECT projects: Growing Communities and Green Spaces; and Forest for Peterborough.

For the first project, PECT is proposing to work in collaboration with the Community First Residents Association in the Gladstone Area of Central/North Wards to enhance and maintain communal green spaces. PECT will work to improve the local areas, provide training on basic gardening skills, and bring together volunteers from schools, community groups and businesses to give them something positive to do within their neighbourhood.

To get behind PECT and help make a difference in your local community, visit www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk and submit your vote before 18 November 2017. For more information on the charity’s work, call 01733 568408 or visit the website at www.pect.org.uk.
