The Key Theatre is releasing 1000 tickets for just £5 as part of a major audience development campaign to promote a new era of programming at the Theatre.

This June come and see Bollywood’s answer to Billy Elliott with Break the Floorboards (Wednesday 12, Thursday 13, Friday 14 and Saturday June 15, 7.30pm nightly), a new dance drama – for only £5. The tickets will be made available for every single performance. And to top it off this show is based on a fictional town Peterton – inspired by our very own Peterborough!

Based on the engaging story of young lad Zain and featuring hip hop and Bollywood tunes, Break the Floorboards is a fusion of urban and well known Bollywood tracks that will have you on the edge of your seat wanting to join in with the action on stage.

All Zain wants to do is dance, yet his family, the local fascists and his two left feet are getting in the way.  Watch the emotional journey of Zain struggling to fit into society by becoming an amazing dancer. From the award-winning producers that brought you the West End musical ‘Britain’s Got Banghra’, this is a vibrant, fun spectacular about a young man reaching for the stars and following his dreams.

Starring a young multicultural, dynamic, and extremely talented cast this is a colourful feel good family show, full of laughs with lots of people on stage having a great time. Break the Floorboards is infectious and for £5 a ticket, why not try something different?

£5 tickets are available to buy online at or via the box office on 01733 207 239.
