Star of Channel 4’s Stand Up For The Week, Last Leg with Adam Hills and BBC1’s Live At The Apollo, is one of the star acts coming to the first ever Key Comedy Festival.
He’s currently touring with his critically acclaimed show Josh Widdicombe: The Further Adventures Of… in Spring 2013.
Further Adventures of… deals with Josh’s inability to embrace adventure in his life, and his continued frustration with everything he comes into contact with. Unable to relax and enjoy life, Josh has instead decided it is everyone else that is at fault for his lack of enthusiasm for leaving the house.
Josh is performing at the Key Theatre in Peterborough on February 23 along with another great stand up – Seann Walsh.
Since his first gig in January 2008 Josh has had a remarkable impact on the comedy circuit. In just four years he’s been named Loaded Lafta Best Newcomer Nominee 2012, Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Newcomer nominee 2011, Chortle Best Breakthrough Act nominee 2011, FHM Stand Up Hero winner 2010 (ITV4), Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2010.
Josh is regarded as one of the best up-and-coming acts on the UK circuit. After fast establishing himself on the live circuit supporting huge comic talent such as Stephen Merchant, Kevin Bridges, Michael McIntyre and Alan Carr, Josh went onto have a sold out run at Edinburgh Festival in 2012 and a sell-out autumn tour.
Although he’s become a regular on many TV and radio shows, here at ESP we’ve come to love him as one of the three amigos who make up ‘The Last Leg’ along with Alex Brooker and Aussie Adam Hills.
Seann Walsh appears on the same bill with Josh at the Key Theatre as comedy’s fastest rising star continues to tour his hit show, Seann To Be Wild, due to popular demand. Walsh will be performing his razor-sharp observational comedy on the night so don’t miss it!
He’ll also be starring in his very own brand new television series ‘Seann Walsh World’ starting in March on Comedy Central. Made by Open Mike Productions, the 13 part series will mix stand-up comedy with viral internet video clips as Seann delves in to his life as a young, single 26 year old comedian.
The Key Comedy Festival runs from February 21 – 26 and has some great names lined up in both the Key Studio and main Key Theatre.
