Fancy a fabulous evening of music?
A singer who’s performed across Europe, America, Russia and Argentina will be guest soloist at the City of Peterborough Symphony Orchestra concert on Sunday October 20 from 3pm-5pm.
Acclaimed mezzo-soprano Hannah Pedley (pictured) will be singing Elgar’s Sea Pictures at The Voyager Academy, Mountsteven Avenue, Walton. She has been described as ‘a striking, willowy brunette with a jolly sense of humour’. Hannah has worked with the London Festival Opera, the Royal Opera House and English Touring Opera.
Mendelssohn’s musical picture of the sea – The Hebrides – opens the programme, which is concluded by Sibelius’ adventurous 1st Symphony. Conductor Steve Bingham and leader Helen Whitehurst will be making a welcome return.
Tickets are available from the Tourist Information Centre in Peterborough, the orchestra website at www.cpso.org.uk and on the door on the day. They are £12.50 and £10.50 (concessions) with school children free.
