SOUNDS CENTRAL IN CENTRAL PARK

Peterborough’s Central Park will be full of sound as it prepares to host a new music festival.

‘Sounds Central’ is a day of music with performances from local bands while various stalls and activities will also take place on Sunday June 9 from mid-day until 6.30pm.

Local musicians such as Charlie Alexander, Zakk Zoot Grey and Burning Codes will perform at the free event, while activities such as a The Green Backyard and a Craft Fair will also help entertain the crowds.

This event is organised by The Friends of Central Park and Enterprise Peterborough.

Frazer Chapman, Neighbourhood and events coordinator for Enterprise Peterborough told ESP – “This event is a great opportunity to not only showcase local talent but also Central Park and all the refurbishment work which has occurred over the last two years.”

Central Park has been awarded the Green Flag Award in recent years which mirrors Enterprise Peterborough and Peterborough City Council’s commitment to making, and keeping the park a safe, welcoming, environmentally friendly and well maintained green space.
