PETERBOROUGH SCHOOLS AND CARE HOMES TO GET THE GIFT OF PANTO THIS CHRISTMAS

The creative crew at The Cresset in Peterborough have already ensured the pandemic won’t beat panto by staging the only socially distanced show in the area. Now they’re turning to video to make sure that nobody misses out.

With many panto regulars including schools, care homes and other groups unable to actually go along to this year to see Jack and the Beanstalk the theatre team’s decided to take the show to them – on screen.

Thanks to their grant from the Culture Recovery Fund, they will be recording the show, in full, and making it available to selected schools and care homes in the Peterborough area free of charge!

The show will be filmed on Saturday December 12 in front of a live audience, and then be ready to send out by Tuesday December 15, allowing it to be streamed into classrooms before the end of term. Schools, early years settings and residential care homes can apply and if approved will be sent a code to purchase a complimentary viewing ticket.

“We hope this brings a little joy this Christmas, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to The Cresset in person for next year’s pantomime; Beauty & the Beast!”

boxoffice@cresset.co.uk from an organisation email address with your intended viewing date and the Box Office team will process your booking.

The show will be available to view until December 30.
