PETER PAN AT THE CRESSET

It’s behind you! The Cresset launches Peter Pan panto cast.

One character who doesn’t like our wonderful Lido is Captain Hook the villain from Peter Pan, especially when there are crocodiles about! Former Coronation Street favourite Kevin (Curly) Kennedy is starring in this year’s fabulous panto classic.

The team behind the annual Christmas show - Stuart Morrison’s Second Star Productions – are promising more magic, mayhem and… flying.

Edward Simpson is back in his fancy frocks as the hilarious Mrs Smee, along with local actress and drama teacher Vanessa Boland, who started her extensive performing career at The Cresset in the children's panto ensemble. They’re joined by newcomer Robbie White as Peter Pan, comedian David Arnold as Mr Smee, and newcomer Sophie Binks stars as Wendy.

As ever there’s a great ensemble of local youngsters getting the chance to take to the stage too.

This spectacular production promises to be packed with laughter, thrills, magic and all the festive fun you'd expect from a Christmas showstopper. Bringing together a talented cast of performers, breathtaking sets, dazzling costumes and stunning visual effects (we did say they will fly!), The Cresset’s stage will be transformed into an unforgettable and atmospheric Neverland and promises to delight audiences of all ages (but remember to never grow up!).

Get ready to boo hiss and cheer as Peter Pan flies to the stage from December 12 – 31 this year promising to sprinkle some fairy dust on your festive nights out.
