Two guys from a local brewery are cutting loose this weekend in a bid to run up some funds for charity.
On Sunday October 12 Oakham Ales employees Ed Sharman and Mark Cripps will be raising funds for Action Medical Research for Children.
Ed will be participating in The Perkins Great Eastern Run, the city’s half marathon that runs through the city centre and out towards Gunthorpe before leading back to the Embankment.
Meanwhile Mark will be taking part in the 5K fun run before sacrificing some of his body hair to raise money for this worthy charity.
Local beautician Laura Williams will be assisting Mark in his bid to raise funds by relieving him of his beard, waxing his legs, chest and back if sufficient funds are raised. Head down and support Mark in his fund raising efforts at Charters Bar beneath the Town Bridge on Sunday from 1pm. We’re sure he’ll appreciate your laughter and rounds of applause.
