A new venue is set to open in Peterborough city centre soon with the new Bijou bar offering tapas and cocktails.
Work is scheduled to start on March 14 and it’s due to open around the end of May on Bridge Street, breathing new life into what was formerly a charity shop and will see the space completely transformed.
Operations Director Simon Baker says – “Bijou is a brand-new venue situated on Bridge Street, Peterborough offering the very best selection of the highest quality coffee, cocktails, wines, drinks, tapas, and music. Our venue has been thoughtfully and beautifully designed to provide an intimate, contemporary, warm, and inviting Bijou environment set over 2 floors including our beautiful outdoor space.”
It will be open from 8am serving an extensive coffee menu to dine in or takeaway, and will also offer tasty tapas and snacks from 10am daily.
Simon added – “Our drinks menu has been constructed for the delights of everyone in mind, with a curated list of wines, Champagne and Prosecco and cocktails celebrating seasonal ingredients plus our spirits, bottled beers and non-alcoholic options will suit all tastes."

During the weekend evenings in the Bijou basement you can expect a mix of Live Jazz, Soul, Acoustic, Funk, R&B bands and artists plus an array of Live DJs too.
They will also have the legendary Jongleurs Comedy Club nights performing monthly along with other unique nights including their very own Cinema Club and Quiz Club.
Bijou will also feature a 16-seater snug area, which can be privately booked for those intimate events, meetings, private dining, or there’s the Bijou Basement which can hold up to 60 people for special party events, gatherings, wedding receptions, meetings, or business conferences.
