Top DJs are heading to Peterborough for a unique dance event being staged beneath the Nene Parkway!
Local heroes Mixology who’ve brought us some fantastic events in the past have worked with Nene Park to bring us this amazing event in a unique location on August 14 this summer.
Mixology: Under, will be based beneath the bridge at Orton Mere, with the concrete, industrial setting juxtaposing the beautiful, scenic landscapes of the River Nene and Nene Park itself.
This outdoor music and dance event for over 18s will rival any UK production of this size in unique surroundings and the line-up will feature local and world-renowned DJs and is headlined by DJ Skream.
Peterborough doesn’t currently provide enough innovative activities and events for a young adult demographic, which embrace and promote the amazing qualities and diversity of the city. The Mixology: Under concept aims to contribute in a small way towards this vision.
This unused, under-utilised area of Nene Park is located away from the green spaces and public footpaths. The fully-enclosed event will have minimal impact on the environment as it will be situated exclusively under the flyover of Nene Parkway near Orton Mere.
This event is being put together sensitively with care and attention to the environment and local residents. This one-off event this year will take place during the day (12-10pm) to avoid late night noise disturbance.
The Mixology Operations Team have in excess of 80 years’ experience of managing events and will be supervising and monitoring the surrounding areas of the event including entry and exit routes; bridge crossings; the river and car park. Safety and respect for the area is of paramount importance.
