JUST DAYS UNTIL BRYAN ADAMS ROCKS INTO PETERBOROUGH

Peterborough will play host to Canadian rocker Bryan Adams on Friday August 5 and excitement in the city is building.

As the final preparations take place to transform The Embankment into an outdoor music venue, organisers have been overwhelmed with the response they’ve had from music fans.

The multi-platinum recording artist, who is scheduled to perform at The Embankment has spoken of his excitement ahead of his show. Bryan Adams said – “I’m really enjoying my Get Up Tour and am looking forward to heading to Peterborough.”

ESP asked Bryan what he feels is the secret to surviving so long in the music industry when so many acts come and go?

“Touring lots, and making music all the time. Not following trends, and having the odd cup of tea.”

And what drove his inspiration for the tracks on Get Up?

“I started working with Jeff Lynne on a song, then another and next thing I knew we had an album. I’m writing with long-term songwriting buddy Jim Vallance and we somehow just kept coming up with stuff.”

The outdoor show at The Embankment, Peterborough on Friday August 5 is being organised by concert promoter, LCC Live.

Claire Kidger of LCC Live said – “From the moment we announced Bryan Adams’ Peterborough show, anticipation and excitement have been building. With just days to go until the show, we have a full team on site transforming The Embankment into an outdoor music arena.

“The response we’ve had from music fans has been phenomenal and we’re delighted with ticket sales. For those who have a ticket; it’s going to be a great night and for those who don’t have a ticket, you’d best be quick!”

Councillor Janet Goodwin, Peterborough City Council cabinet member for city centre management, culture and tourism, said – “To have an artist of the international stature of Bryan Adams coming to perform in Peterborough is a real coup for the city.
