Peterborough music legend Gizz Butt (Prodigy / English Dogs) has reformed his 90’s punk band Janus Stark, and they’re playing at Mama Liz’s in Stamford on Saturday February 2.
Janus Stark also star another local musician, former Stamford pop-punk band Midget’s lead singer and guitarist Richard Gombault, making it a real draw for the region’s 90’s pop-punk fans. Support comes from their good friends Ana from Germany, Laserchrist from South Africa (via London), and Nottingham’s Spring Park.
Janus Stark are a fusion of Punk rock, hard rock, heavy metal and alternative with influences from Helmet to The Ruts to The Beatles to The Clash.
Local hero lead singer and guitarist Gizz Butt is known throughout the music industry, having played on stage with many bands and not just his own (Prodigy, The Foo Fighters, English Dogs).
Their song Every Little Thing Counts was featured on the soundtracks to the 1998 films Disturbing Behavior and Varsity Blues. Their album, Great Adventure Cigar, was highly rated by Foo Fighters and Die Toten Hosen and now they’re back with new material including new single Shuffling the Pack, featured in their first video…
Tickets for the Stamford gig at music venue Mama Liz’s are £8 advance, more on the door. Find out more here…
