IRISH DANCERS HELP CELEBRATE ST.PATRICK’S DAY

If you’re out an about tonight enjoying the craic for

St. Paddy’s day there’s some real Irish entertainment planned…

These are the girls and boys from The Solas School of Irish Dancing based in Peterborough and they’ll be performing twice tonight (March 17) in and around the city creating a authentic Irish feel at two venues.

Firstly they’ll be dancing at The Solstice on Northminster between 6.45pm and 7pm and then following onto the PSL (Peterborough Sports & Leisure) Club off Lincoln Road for their St. Patrick’s celebrations.

The young dancers are aged from 5 -12 years-old and recently danced and performed with the cast from The Essence of Ireland show at the Cresset on March 12.  They were part of the Stanley Carroll School however Stanley Carroll split as a company and teachers Ray Chambers and Lindsay Rees then started this school in September 2014.

If your kids fancy a bit of Riverdance and want to make like Michael Flatley, dance classes are on:

Saturday from 10-11am at Leeds Hall in Eye.

Wednesday from 6-7pm at Millennium Centre, Dickens Street.

If you’re intersted in it yourself, adult classes are starting on April 12 at PSL club, Peterborough.

Fully CRB checked, first aid trained and TCRG teachers.

Contact the teachers for more info: Ray Chambers: 07545 287493 or Lindsay Rees: 07773 933454.
