FROM ZERO TO NERO!

Shine, the charity that supports everyone affected by spina bifida and hydrocephalus, is opening its doors to local artist Tony Nero, as part of the Peterborough Artists Open Studios events taking place across the city this June.

The summer exhibition begins on Saturday June 8 and will be open each weekend from 11am to 5pm until June 23. Tony will be joined by fellow artists Stacy-Ann Cole, Mahemuda Arsalani, and Josephine Kelly-Gobuiwang, who will also be exhibiting at Shine.

Entry is free and, as well as taking in the beautiful art on display, there are lots of activities and competitions to take part in. There is the opportunity to do some ‘Live Art’, which is open to all ages. In addition to this a Nero original will be raffled off and a ‘guess the value of the painting’ competition will be running, so there really is something for everyone!

Tony will be donating 15% of all sales at the exhibition to Shine, as a gesture to the charity for the use of their gallery space. Tony told ESP –  “The facilities at Shine are great; it’s a light and neutral space, perfect for artists to show their work, and the central location makes it perfect! With Shine being a charity based locally it’s great to be able to give something back to the community.”
