Fans of The Jam are in for a treat this month when From the Jam make a welcome return to The Cresset following their sold out show in 2017.
Incredibly it’s the 40th anniversary of The Jam’s fourth studio album Setting Sons and From the Jam are celebrating this milestone with their latest tour and having seen them last time they came here we can’t wait to watch them again.
The gig on Saturday January 25 features special guests The Vapors and is one to get booked in for early.
“We can’t wait to perform the whole of Setting Sons live,” says vocalist and guitarist Russell Hastings. “The album has been noted as another one of The Jam’s best albums along with All Mod Cons. It seems that even the obscure album tracks like Little Boy Soldiers and Thick As Thieves are as popular when we play them live as the hit singles.”

The critically acclaimed album reached #4 in the UK and was the band’s first album to enter the US charts. Succeeding All Mod Cons, the album became a commercial success, earning them their first top ten hit single, The Eton Rifles.
From the Jam, featuring original Jam member Bruce Foxton, along with Russell Hastings will perform tracks from this classic album plus a selection of hand-picked songs from the band’s back catalogue, so expect to hear more of your favourites like A Town Called Malice, Going Underground, The Modern World, Down in the Tube Station and That’s Entertainment.
We’ll see you there! Tickets are available on www.cresset.co.uk or call the box office on 01733 265705.
