Showcase Cinemas Peterborough is providing four special screenings over two nights of a new film aimed at the Eastern European community.
Redirected – which stars British legend Vinnie Jones (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and X-Men: The Last Stand) – sees four first-time robber friends get stranded in Eastern Europe, and screens this Thursday (November 13) at 7pm and 7.30pm – and due to its immense popularity has had two more screenings added for this Saturday (November 15) at 7.30pm and 10.10pm.
Through a series of misadventures the London-based pals have to find their way back home, but to do so, they’ll have to overcome hit men, corrupt cops, prostitutes, smugglers and more – all while rediscovering their friendship in this Lithuanian/British production.
This all-action comedy crime-thriller – which has been tagged as a cross between The Hangover and a Guy Ritchie-style film – comes from the creators of the biggest-grossing Lithuanian film of all-time Zero 2, and co-stars Scot Williams (Backbeat).
Jonathan Wheeler, General Manager of the Boongate-based multiplex, told ESP: “I have been trying my hardest to get films specifically for the city’s (and surrounding area) Eastern community at the cinema, and due to the popularity of the first screenings on Thursday, we have added two more for Saturday.
“Hopefully we can now make this a regular occurrence.”
