ESP REVIEW: HERE COME THE BOYS

It was a hot night at the New Theatre in Peterborough in more ways than one.

Hit dance show Here Come the Boys pulled into the city on one of the hottest days of the year and Strictly stars Graziano Di Prima, Nadiya Bychkova, Nikita Kuzmin, Pasha Kovalev and finalist Karim Zeroual made temperatures rise even further.

It’s hard to see how they could possibly fit more dancing and music into this high energy show which made you feel thrilled and exhausted just watching it. Performers at the top of their game gave their all from start to finish with barely a pause.

The boys were cheeky and fun, engaging with the audience who reciprocated enthusiastically screaming back to their favourites with everyone clapping wildly… especially when shirts were undone and bare chests were on display!

The boys might be great to look at but there’s no denying their true talent on stage. Just incredible, perfectly executed routines to the best tunes came one after another.

A touching tribute routine to Ukraine was beautifully performed and all dance styles - including street dance by Karim - were showcased with the crowd loving the salsa hip swivels (particularly by Graziano) through to the elegant ballroom numbers where Pasha excels.

A fantastic line-up of talented dancers joined the boys on stage and let’s not forget the lady of the show – beautiful and talented Nadiya Bychkova was more than a match for the guys and proved what a fabulous and versatile dancer she is.

Fast paced, full throttle, full marks from us! These boys (and girl) can come back anytime.
