EASTER AT SPRINGFIELDS IN SPALDING CONTINUES ONLINE

Everyone’s having to be a little more creative while lockdown continues and although we’ll have to stay at home this Easter, Springfields Outlet Shopping and Leisure is putting plenty of fun online for the family and their garden centre will also deliver some products to your door.

They have a package of different activities planned, but marketing manager Faith Horne, says they have also been keen to share some goodwill with local services.

“First we want to thank all the amazing frontline staff who are working so hard to keep us safe.

“We have a small Easter gift for them. We decided to use the Easter eggs which we’d normally have for our massive Easter Egg Hunt as gifts for nurses, doctors, ambulance teams, fire fighters, the Police and their support teams, and also those less fortunate who might not otherwise get an Easter egg via the Spalding AGAPE Food Bank.”

So far, the frontline recipients have been the Johnson Hospital, Munro Medical Centre, Beechfield Medical Centre, Spalding Fire Brigade, Spalding Police Station, Spalding Ambulance Station, Holbeach Ambulance Station, Holbeach Police Station, Holbeach Fire Brigade.

Of course, social distancing and health measures have been used throughout.

Springfields also some great Easter activities and offers and has found inventive ways to keep up their usual fun safely.

“Easter is always popular at Springfields, especially with families, and one of the most popular activities is our colouring competition for children,” said Faith.

“We want to make sure everyone can still take part, so we have moved this online with entries via our Instagram and Facebook pages. The top prize is a brand-new Nintendo Switch Lite with Minecraft from our Game store plus a collection of Horrible Histories and a family ticket for Adventure Land as runner up prizes. We have Boredom-buster downloadable packs for children to go with this and more to come.”

The ProCook shop has also come up with some wonderful recipe ideas to get the kids involved which can be downloaded from the Springfields website, with videos and guides, and they’ll be adding to them throughout the Easter holidays.

If you’re planning on doing some gardening, their Blue Diamond Home and Garden Centre has moved online temporarily with special offers, so you can order plants and flowers, and lots more, and get them delivered to your home and make the most of the garden over Easter and beyond.

Faith added – “Everything we do will be safety first and we will be rolling out other ideas over the next few weeks to help keep everyone entertained. We love Easter and we didn’t want you to miss out. We wish everyone a very happy Easter weekend.”
