COMEDY NIGHT IS SET TO BE THE BEST

If you’re ready for a laugh there’s a great comedy night coming to Peterborough over the May bank holiday.

The Best in Comedy series debuts at The Key Theatre on Sunday May 7 brought to you by The Anglia Comedy Co.

Each show will have a unique line-up of four of the UK’s best stand-up comedians from stage and screen, coming together for a fun-filled night packed with laughs.

The first show features the hilarious Paul Sinha, Nick Helm, Matt Richardson and Lily Phillips!

Alex Lingham, The Anglia Comedy Co. says – “We’re thrilled to be teaming up with such a great Peterborough institution as The Key Theatre, bringing something fresh and new to their comedy programme. The May show will be a belter!”

You’ll probably recognise Paul Sinha from The Chase on ITV but he’s also one of the UK’s best loved comedians. Paul is a familiar face on television as a guest on BBC's QI and Would I Lie to You? and as a competitor on Dave’s Taskmaster.

Nick Helm is one of Britain’s most loved comedians for his multiple, memorable and moving television appearances and legendary rollercoaster live shows. Nick is a firm TV favourite with unforgettable appearances on shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Live at the Apollo, Russell Howard’s Good News and Celebrity Mastermind.

Your compere for the evening is recent star of ITV’s Dancing on Ice, Matt Richardson. Matt is a multi-award winning stand-up comedian, as well as being named Heat Magazine’s Weird Crush of the Year in 2014! Matt is the former host of the Xtra Factor and has appeared on shows such as Nevermind The Buzzcocks, Celebrity Juice and Pointless Celebrities.

Lily Phillips is one of the most exciting up and coming voices in comedy in the UK. She is a series regular on The Stand Up Sketch Show and The Stand Up Sketch Show Christmas Special (ITV2), and she recently starred in a new hidden camera show for E4 Digital as a fake podcast host.

It all kicks off at 8pm and this comedy show is for over 18s only.
