CAPTAIN’S TIPPLE GOES ON TAP

Popular city bar Charters recognises their much loved feline friend ‘Captain’ or ‘Tom Tom’ to his true owners at their Annual Easter Beer Festival with a ‘one off’ special brew from award winning brewery Oakham Ales.

‘Captain’ adopted Charters as his second home last summer and is now a daily visitor to the venue.

The one off brew named ‘Captain’s Tipple’ is an amber coloured ale with an ABV of 4.8%. Manager Gavin Polkinghorne describes the tipple as a smooth caramel base and rich grapefruit flavour leading to a mouth-wateringly dry finish.

You can sample this special brew for a limited time only at the Easter Beer Festival which starts at 5pm this Thursday April 17 and runs until Monday April 21.

The FREE family friendly festival not only features some great real ales but also includes a great entertainment line up too:

Thursday 8pm  – Weekly General Knowledge Quiz

Friday 10:30pm – The Gangsters

Saturday 10:30pm – Jessie’s Ghost

Sunday from Midday – Easter Egg Hunt for Children under the age of 12 (FREE)

Sunday 3pm Children of the Revolution Unplugged

As well as a fantastic range of real ales, ciders and perries, there will be delicious Thai food available from East Restaurant on the upper deck.
