BAR STAFF ROW THEIR BOAT FOR COMIC RELIEF

Popular Pub Staff to Row 292.5 Miles for Comic Relief…

Staff and regulars at Charters Bar, the city’s own floating real ale emporium are to take part in a sponsored row for Comic Relief. The city centre bar has decided to hold the charity row on board, following on from the success of the cycle ride in aid of Sports Aid last year which raised £500.

Caring staff and regulars have volunteered to row the 292.5 miles the distance from Charters to their sister pubs The Brewery Tap, Oaka at the Mansion House (London), The Bartons Arms (Birmingham) and back to the boat. As the theme for Comic Relief is do something funny for money the participants will be sporting red noses and or funny faces. Sponsorship forms and collection buckets will be available for customers to donate to this worthy cause.

The rowing challenge will commence on Friday March 13 ending on or before Sunday March 15. Martin Race general manager says – “We’re really looking forward to the challenge. We hope we can raise a significant amount for Comic Relief.   We’d also like to thank Howard Braband and GymKitUK for the loan of the rowing machines.”

GymKitUK are suppliers of new and refurbished gym equipment for both the home and commercial environment, they are the UK distributor for Teeter Inversion and Peak Pilates equipment.

If you’d like to support the team at Charters pop along to the boat between Friday 13th and Sunday 15th March the team will welcome your support and it will give you an opportunity to sample some of their award winning real ales.

Good luck guys!
