TIME TO CHEER ON THE CREWS AT PETERBOROUGH DRAGON BOAT RACE

It’ll soon be time to enjoy a great free family day out at this year’s Peterborough Dragon Boat Festival so get Saturday June 8 in your diary.

The ESP Motley Crew are ready to take on the other 47 teams in another sold out Dragon Boat Race in Peterborough which will see exciting races every few minutes to the beat of the drum.

Pop down to the Rowing Lake to support us and the many other colourful teams in fancy dress and enjoy some great racing action and plenty of fun bankside activities.

There’s always a great atmosphere and it’s free to watch – and frankly we’ll need a few cheers to keep us going!

ESP is proud to be the print media partner for the event once again and as we’re celebrating our 20 years in print this year we’re gunning for a win… well at least not to capsize!

The event raises vital funds for Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice and there’s a fantastic prize up for grabs for the team that raises the most

There is a great incentive for teams to raise as much sponsorship as possible – the top fundraisers will win the prize of a group experience day at Orton Hall Hotel and Spa to include Buck’s Fizz on arrival, morning use of Imagine Spa’s facilities, lunch and an afternoon experience with locally based CJ’s Birds of Prey.

Thorpe Hall Hospice’s Community Fundraiser, Nilesh Patel, said: “We are thrilled to once again be the charity partner for the Peterborough Dragon Boat Festival.

“A big thank you to everyone who contributed to last year’s record-breaking event and we are so excited to see what 2019 will bring.

“We would love to top last year’s fundraising figure.

“All funds raised will ensure that we can carry on providing specialist care and being there when it matters for local families.”

It’s all perfectly organised by Gable Events and sponsored by IKEA  so join us and Connect FM and maybe you’ll feature in our Paparazzi pictures – watch out for our photographer on the day.

Bring the family down and make a day of it!
