The big events are on their way back to Peterborough and if you’re a horse lover it’s time to get back in the saddle for Equifest this summer…
Like most events last year’s three day festival couldn’t happen but get August 19 -21 back in the diary as the UK’s largest amateur horse show returns to the East of England Arena and Events Centre for the 15th year.
Equifest is perfect for all horse lovers and as ever you can expect a wide range of showing classes, spectacular evening shows, and a great atmosphere.
Betsy Branyan, organiser of the show explains, “Equifest remains one of the most popular horse shows in the country and we are thrilled to be back. This year it will feature a variety of showing, show jumping, working hunter and carriage driving classes.
“Evening performances will take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings – making use of the large outdoor arena and the covered grandstand seating for the first time.”
We’re sure that anyone who’s a fan of horses and all the related events will be eager to see the return of this annual show and the Peterborough venue is the perfect location.
“Equifest has built up an avid and loyal following over the last 15 years, and is now the largest amateur horse show in the UK,” Betsy added. “We’ve achieved this by creating an event that combines competitive riding and showing with a festival atmosphere and a rich variety of traders. Riders come from all over the country to meet, learn, compete, and enjoy themselves at the three-day festival.”
After seeing so many of last year’s big events having to be cancelled or postponed Jason Lunn, venue director at the East of England Arena says this is great news.
“The return of Equifest to the East of England Arena is another major event in the calendar making a return and another signal that the events industry is open for business, it’s great to welcome the show back to the venue.”
