ESP has FIVE signed copies of local hero Louis Smith’s new book to give away!
Here at ESP Magazine, we’ve long since championed our local hero, Eye gymnast Louis Smith MBE. We were behind him when he won his Olympic medals, there with him for his open top bus Homecoming parade, with him all the way when he won Strictly Come Dancing, there when he switched on the Hampton Christmas Lights and we’ll sure as hell be there when he launches his brand new book ‘My Story So Far’ with a signing session at Serpentine Green.
Documenting his amazing journey (so X Factor!) from being diagnosed with ADHD and starting gymnastics classes aged 4 as an outlet for his excess energy, winning his first medal aged 14 through to his triumphs as the first Briton in over 100 years to win an Olympic medal in individual gymnastics and, of course his crowning as Strictly Come Dancing champion 2012 with his dance partner Flavia, the book promises to be a fantastically inspirational read.
Jam packed with beautiful illustrations and exclusive never seen before photographs of Louis in the gym and in the dance studio, the book promises to be a must read for all fans of Louis and those who love an inspirational story of triumph and success against all the odds; we’re already turning the phone off and putting the kettle on ready for a mammoth cover to cover reading session!
Whilst the book documents Louis’ story over the last 24 years, so much has happened to Louis in the past year since the Olympics that we can only summise that this book ‘My Story So Far’ will be the first of many books documenting chapters in our local boy’s career. Better make some room on those bookshelves girls!
Louis Smith MBE will be signing copies of his new book on Thursday July 4 at Tesco Serpentine Green from 4-6pm.
