Here’s your chance to win a bumper Christmas hamper by entering this year’s Peterborough City Market competition.
The competition has proven to be a popular draw in recent years, and customers at Peterborough City Market can win a hamper packed with goodies generously provided by the site’s traders.
Anyone can enter once the competition launches on Thursday November 24 and all you need to do is make a purchase from any of the traders on the market. After buying something you’ll receive an entry form that you can fill in and deposit in one of the prize draw boxes located throughout the market.
You can enter the prize draw as many times as you like until the closing date on Wednesday December 21.
The winning entry will have the hamper delivered to their home by the Mayor of Peterborough, Councillor David Sanders.
Gary Wright, Market Development Manager at Peterborough City Council, said: “We are really pleased to have the Christmas hamper prize draw running again thanks to the cooperation and generosity of our traders.

“The hamper will be stuffed full of seasonal treats and goodies that will make for great stocking fillers or a bumper gift on its own.
“We look forward to welcoming customers to the City Market in the build up to Christmas.”
The city market, found between Northminster, Laxton Square, Cattle Market Road and Market Way, is well worth a visit for all your festive bits and pieces from wrapping paper to seasonal fruit and veg.
If you fancy a bite to eat while you shop, street food is also available to buy including Goan curry and Caribbean wraps.
The market team is also looking for choirs, community groups and local schools to sing at the City Market in the build up to Christmas. If you’d like to take up this opportunity please contact the market office on 01733 454454 or email market@peterborough.gov.uk
