SPRING FASHION BLOSSOMS AT QUEENSGATE

Calling all fashionistas! The biggest fashion extravaganza of 2015 is coming to Queensgate Shopping Centre on Saturday May 2; featuring over ten explosive spring-inspired fashion performances.

One of the world’s most sought-after choreographers is bringing his talents to the centre too. Having worked with major music talents such as Kylie Minogue, Take That and Jennifer Lopez, as well as regularly modelling for the likes of Alexander McQueen and Louis Vuitton, Glenn’s 15 explosive spring-inspired fashion performances are not to be missed.

Showcasing the latest trends and must-haves from the spring and summer collections, the Queensgate fashion showcase is a stunningly choreographed and high energy set of performances presenting the hottest outfits from all the major brands within Queensgate and Westgate Arcade.

Kicking off at 10:30am with 15 shows taking place throughout the day until 5pm, each show will feature a different brand and take place outside that store, from Next to Oasis, Superdry and Topshop, as well as many more. Shoppers can expect prizes and exclusive discounts but ultimately some of the coolest shows the City has seen in years.

Glenn has had a glittering career as a dancer, he also performed with Mariah Carey, Lionel Ritchie and The Scissor Sisters, but at 29, has decided to focus on choreography. “I loved dancing and was really lucky to reach such a high level, but the time is now right for me to choreograph full time. It has always been the direction I wanted to take my career into,” said Glenn, though admitting he was persuaded to go back on stage with Taylor Swift at this year’s Brits – he played her love interest as she opened the show with her hit ‘Blank Space’.

When asked about his latest fashion show ventures, he said: “I love the fusion of fashion and dance. It’s really a direction I want to go in. To choreograph some of the world’s biggest fashion shows would be a dream project, but I’d steer clear of cheesy moves seen on catwalks in the past. I want to make it dynamic, vibrant, so audiences feel like they too can wear those clothes rather than just watch models on a catwalk.”

Shoppers can also look forward to an abundance of prizes which will be up for grabs throughout the day; 25 audience members from each show will be handed an envelope containing a number, the one that matches the number inside that store will win an exciting prize.

This year is it’s all about ‘fabulous florals’ whether it’s delicate and abstract or bold and beautiful! So, Queensgate is going all out to inspire with its very own Spring Fashion Garden where shoppers can tread the lawn and see what’s truly flourishing on the High Street this year. Open on Saturday May 2 and Sunday May 3, the Spring Fashion Garden will be every fashion-lovers’ fantasy wardrobe with exclusive discounts and a stylist on-hand to advise on the season’s must-haves.

So, put Saturday May 2 in the diary as it’s set to be a fun-filled day of dynamic dance shows with the hottest looks, prizes to be won and a chance to shake up the SS15 wardrobe.
