SAVE THE LAST DANCE FOR ME @ THE BROADWAY

It’s time for you to dive in to a world of sixties nostalgia as this musical winds back the years.

Brought to you by the guys that produced the sensational Dreamboats and Petticoats, this brand new musical at The Broadway Theatre takes on the sixties jukebox thread – it’s going to be just as irresistible!

Written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran (Goodnight Sweetheart, Birds of a Feather and Shine on Harvey Moon), Save The Last Dance For Me explores the journey of two sisters in the summer of 1963, a golden era for music. When they’re left at home without their parents for the first time, they take a seaside holiday. They’re soon invited to a dance at a local U.S. Air Force base. A tale of young love follows, where the girls realise there’s more out there than the world they’ve been living in. It’s a feel good musical for all to enjoy.

Set in a time where almost every week had a hit, this musical definitely accounts for that, bringing you plenty of rock ‘n’ roll tracks you’ll know and love. It includes a shed-load of the best, including A Teenager In Love, Sweets For My Sweet and, of course, Save The Last Dance For Me.

If you weren’t lucky enough to be growing up in the sixties, then you can at least experience the fun that was going on in this exciting decade!

Save The Last Dance For Me has received some brilliant reviews from papers such as The Express and The Scotsman to name but a few. Sure to be a winner after the huge success of sister production Dreamboats and Petticoats, it’s one not to miss!

Catch it at The Broadway Theatre from Monday November 18 – Saturday November 23, ticket prices are £20, £25 and £30, with discounts available. For bookings and information, contact 01733 822225 or visit www.kenwright.com
