New play equipment at the park is just the start!
September is an exciting time for Ferry Meadows Country Park, seeing the first installation of brand new play equipment and a new pop-up play area has been launched in Ferry Meadows to mark the start of this latest project.
Summer is the perfect time for a visit to Ferry Meadows so a pop-up play area has been designed to add interest in the new area near the Visitor Centre, as well as giving the kids a taster of what’s to come. The temporary installation includes a water cascade, a hollow log to clamber through, a human sundial as well as cluster seating made of boulders and logs.
The current pop-up features will become part of the new play area, being designed and built by Touch Wood Enterprises Limited and Davies White Landscape Architects. It’s set to be a three year project and will end in all kinds of new fun, exciting play equipment such as acorn swing pods, embankment slides and cradle swings.
