NEW MARATHON HEADING TO PETERBOROUGH

Sublime Racing have just announced the date for a brand new race in Peterborough.

Peterborough Marathon will take place on Sunday April 14. It’s 26.2 miles will be run on a 95% traffic-free beautiful course, starting and finishing within yards of the fantastic Race HQ and event venue, the Marriott Hotel.

The course heads towards the city centre taking in the stunning Nene Park en-route. Once in the city centre the route passes the cathedral, joins the Green Wheel cycle pathways and runs along the picturesque River Nene, before heading back toward the Marriott Hotel for the after party.

The Marathon is a new addition to the eleven races already planned for 2019 by event organiser Sublime Racing.

Course Director André Pittock says “Most marathoners will already be in full training and will have identified their target race for 2019.

“We plan to have a relatively low-key debut running of the event this year to allow us to gain a full understanding of the demands of hosting the full distance marathon.”

Initially the race aims to attract runners who would like the chance to try a new race that’s both scenic and relatively flat, so providing the opportunity for a Personal Best over the distance.

Runners wishing to register for the Peterborough Marathon 2019 can do so online at www.sublimeracing.com
