Get ready for some star names appearing on stage in the Boro!
An enterprising local teenager has pulled together an impressive line-up ready to take to the stage at Peterborough Arena all in aid of local charities.
James Ellis has entirely masterminded the Musicality event on Friday November 4 which will see B.O.B, Jay Sean, Scouting for Girls and Toploader appear right here in the city!
Not only that, Vernon Kay will be hosting the night and playing a live DJ set.
James was inspired to pull the night together after a friend was injured and he felt he wanted to support several charities that are close to his heart.
James says – “Last year, aged 16, I went on rugby tour to South Africa. Whilst there, one of my friends suffered a life-changing injury. I decided I wanted to do something to help raise awareness for him and others suffering life-changing injuries/illnesses.
“I had a dream, and this dream is coming true. Let’s pull together, let’s change lives. Let’s bring thousands of people together at one place and at one time, to show our support. You will not forget this night, I promise.”
He’s chosen the charities Anna’s Hope, #teamgeorge, the Injured Jockey’s Fund and the Matt Hampson Foundation and all the proceeds from this fantastic gig will be split between them.
James has put in all the time and effort to bring this concert together and it just shows what can be achieved with the right will. For a young guy like James to initiate such an event we should be proud and support his ambitions.
