MICHELIN LISTING FOR CITY’S PRÉVOST RESTAURANT

Writer: ESP OnlineESP Online

It’s been a long term ambition but at last city chef and restaurant owner Lee Clarke has the Michelin listing he’s been seeking for Prévost on Priestgate…

Not only has chef and owner Lee Clarke enjoyed a frequently fully-booked restaurant and critical acclaim since launching 6 months ago; he has now joined a very select list of restaurants in the region.

The newest edition of the famous gourmet guide has been published today and as one of just two restaurants listed in the city centre, Clarke is justifiably excited about his achievement: “I’m over the moon that we’ve been listed in the Michelin Guide, and especially that it’s happened within just six months of opening.

“When we saw that a gentleman had made a reservation for one, we did wonder whether it could be Michelin. We didn’t give him special treatment, though – he had the same Prévost experience that we give each and every diner. We’re delighted that he found it worthy of the prestigious Guide and are excited to see what the future holds.”

Set in the former Flyers Club on Priestgate, Prévost offers innovative tasting menus ranging from three to nine courses, and all produce is sourced as locally as possible.

The restaurant is open plan and serves just 28 covers, with almost all tables offering a view of Clarke cooking.

Great going and another tick for Peterborough’s ever improving dining out scene!
