Former Skins star Luke Pasqualino from Peterborough is to star in a new BBC One drama series!
With filming well underway for the forthcoming BBC One drama, The Musketeers, this is the first official image of the cast and we can’t wait to see it!
Luke, originally from Werrington, has come a long way since starring as Freddie in Skins with appearances in The Borgias alongside Jeremy Irons, sci-fi sereis Battlestar Galactica Blood & Chrome and films The Apparition and comedy horror flick Love Bite to name just a few.
Written by Adrian Hodges, this new series charts the fortunes of The Musketeers, an elite band of soldiers operating in 17th century Paris. D’Artagnan (Luke Pasqualino), Athos (Tom Burke), Aramis (Santiago Cabrera) and Porthos (Howard Charles) fight for what is just, and are heroes in the truest and most abiding sense – men we can trust and believe in to do the right thing, regardless of personal risk.
Adrian Hodges, creator of the series, said – “The four actors look brilliant together and it seems like they have been working together for years. The camaraderie between them makes each action-packed scene exciting and authentic, and the image we have released today really encapsulates that.”
As well as peterborough’s local hero, the accomplished cast also includes Peter Capaldi, Tamla Kari, Maimie McCoy and Hugo Speer.
You’ll have to wait a while though after this little teaser as the 10-part drama doesn’t air until next year!
