The city’s big laugh-fest is finally here and the on site box office will be open!
This is it folks – the time has finally come! If you haven’t bought your tickets for the HUGE Levity comedy festival yet never fear – you can buy a weekend ticket for £40 (including headline act) or a day ticket for £25 (including headline act) from the on site Embankment box office.
This comedy fest runs from Friday July 19 to Sunday July 21 on the Peterborough Embankment with what must be one of the biggest line-ups of comedy acts EVER!
The headliners for the event are Al Murray on Friday July 19, Lee Nelson on Saturday July 20 and Omid Djalili on Sunday July 21 but there are around 150 comedy acts taking part with the likes of Sean Hughes joining the fun on the Saturday and other names include Chris Ramsay, Dominic Holland, Mitch Benn, Phil Cool, Stephen K Amos, James Acaster, Isy Suttie … you name it!
ESP’s comedy writer Steve Gonzalez highly recommends seeing Doc Brown and Alun Cochrane on Friday, on Saturday Richard Herring and Hayley Ellis and on Sunday two of his favourite stand up comedians, Paul Foot and Brendon Burns are well worth seeing.
There will also be a comedy competition on site, music, kids stuff with Ed Petrie from CBBC and the Wildcats team, as well as fairground rides, stalls and more.
It’s also good to see that Shine, the Peterborough charity supporting everyone affected by spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, have been chosen as the Levity Festival’s official charity.
No need to worry about the weather as there’s plenty of cover and the acts will be performing in seven tents around the site.
