LAUGHTER AT THE LIGHTBOX CAFÉ IN PETERBOROUGH

Funhouse Comedy Club, returns to The Lightbox Café, Peterborough on Thursday February 28 for another great night of stand up.

Topping the bill is the mischievous and engaging Tez Illyas, who appeared on ‘Live at the Apollo’ in 2018 and had his own BBC Radio 4 series, based on his 2015 Edinburgh Show ‘TEZ Talks’, with a second series released in 2018 and a third already commissioned.

Opening the night will be Sol Bernstein, a legend on the circuit who has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Sinatra, the Rat Pack, Lenny Bruce and Doris Day. One part Alf Garnett, two parts Mel Brooks, and three parts like nothing you’ve ever heard. The oldest Jewish comic in the business is a laugh a minute, delivering his lines with acidic humour and chutzpah.

Completing the line-up will be appealing ‘Brummie’ Craig Deeley, who has supported Sarah Millican on tour, he shares his imaginative and amusing perspective on life, mixed with modest self-deprecation.

Compere for the night is the cheeky and friendly Stevie Gray with his boundless energy and mix of news, music and comedy.

Doors 7pm, show starts at 8.30pm. Tickets in advance are £10.
